Wishpot for Developers

Wishpot newly launched Developer APIs allows you to add many of the Wishpot services to your website or application. You can easily provide your users with more useful functionalities and increase your revenue opportunities.

Our Developer Program

Wishpot provides three key shopping APIs:

  • List Management: You can now integrate the Wishpot list functionality with your site. We have APIs to allow users to manage their Wishpot lists outside of Wishpot.com. Documentation for this API is here.
  • Price Alerts: You can now integrate the Wishpot list functionality with your site. We have APIs to allow users to manage their Wishpot lists outside of Wishpot.com. Documentation for this API isWishpot provides four price alert functionalities (1) price drop (2) price match (3) price watch and (4) price protect. The API allows to subscribe to these alerts and receive postback when an event is triggered.
  • Contributions: Enable users to collect fund for the things they want. It is currently based on PayPal.

The three APIs above can be used together or independently. They work with any product, although there are optimizations for the top 500 online retailers in the United States.   Developers automatically become Wishpot publishers and start accruing revenues immediately.

Simpler Integrations

Not all integrations with Wishpot require API access or server-side programming. Some of the most popular ways to integrate require nothing more than HTML and Javascript. This includes:

  • Widgets: Wishpot provides over 20 skinnable widgets We work with our partners to make sure that they can be properly customized.
  • Add To Wishpot button: If you just want to provide a button on your site to let people add your products to their universal wishlist, that's simple to provide via our pre-made buttons. Sign up as a vendor and you will automatically have access to them.
  • RSS: All of our users' public wishlists are available via RSS, so you can use any RSS tools you prefer to display a user's wishlist on your pages.
